Describe the best day of your life: Okay here goes: I wake up at noon and spend two hours making sweet love to my two girlfriends (one's a model, the other is a leading astrophycisist). Afterwards I get up out of my giant four poster bed, walk downstairs from my NYC loft, and get some brunchfast at a small little diner where everyone loves me. Then as I head outside, I bump into Wes Anderson who casts me in his new movie, which we will co-write together. After that I take a horse-carriage ride through Central Park, where I find a time machine and a case of nice French red wine. I go back to ancient Rome, take one good stab at Caesar for destroying the Republic, high five Cicero, then have an early supper at Horace's villa where we get trashed on the wine. I head back to the present, where I rescue a millionaire from being mugged. He flies me on his private jet to Russia where he pays for me to take a flight (Lance Bass-style) into space. I snap a quick picture of the earth, and we head back down and have a late supper in Moscow. The millionairre bequeaths his entire fortune to me, flies me back to New York, and promptly dies in my arms. I head back to my loft, make sweet love to my girlfriends, and stay up all night using my newfound wealth to order all the Criterion Collection films I don't yet have. Yep, that would pretty much be the best day of my life.
Pepsi or Coke? Dr. Pepper.

| Well, either the thieves have run out of plausible attempts, thanks to the alphabetical precision of some champion access control list, or they have the most deplorably insulting respect for the intelligence of people. I now believe that to be a reasonable statement to argue as truth. I have just recieved this fabulous - oh, and I do mean fabulous - see, the italics totally prove its fabulous - offer, from my new best friend: Compliment of the day to you, although you may be skeptical receiving this email as we have not met before,Am an employee in the The Fondazione Di Vittorio, established 1977 by the Multi-Million groups and now supported by United Nations Organization (UNO) and the European Union (EU), is conceived with the objective of human growth, educational, and community development thereby uplifting the standard of living of people.I have a business proposition involving the sum of $31,500,000.usd for the payment of the Grants Recipients by the fondazion di vittorio ,I am in position of the funds and i want your cooperation for us to transfer this funds from this organisation so that we can handle it together once we have a common understanding and mutual cooperation in the execution of the mondalities.
should you be intrested, please forward the following to me
1)Full name 2)Occupation 3)Private phone number 4)current residential address.
Via this email address:zhu_yunin@ozu.es
Your response to this mail will be highly appreciated.
Zhu Yuning.
Now, for the historical web record, other than the addition of the separating bar (see above), which I added using a small square box (of greyish colour)((and which looks like a guy having an okay day)), I have done nothing to alter the editing in any way. Okay, pretty good start; pretty good. I see myself saying "compliment of the day to you" to someone: maybe passing through a doorway and you lift the bowler you are wearing with your right hand in politeness to a passing gentleman with a large mustache and operating under a false name. So I’ll give you that one. The UNO and the EU!!? You sir, must be an important man! And that’s a lot of dough! usd, huh? That’s some serious bread we’re talking here! Well, I’m sure a fine upstanding, complimentary man such as yourself, Zhu Yuning, would have a website to help spread the word of such a noble charity! It was Fondazione Di Vittorio, I believe you said? Yes, okay then let’s learn more about this "internationally connected" organization of yours, my new best friend! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Search?search=Fondazione+Di+Vittorio Whaaaaaaa!!!!!????? No wikipedia entry? That’s odd. I checked there first because I had it "on the wiki" (that’s my new saying, let’s make sure it catches on) open on another tab, It was wfrom when I looked up access list; which is curiously also when I relearned that are actually called access control lists; and also because I thought there was nothing left on earth that wikipedia didn't know. That’s okay, I guess we’ll have to google it! http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=Fondazione+Di+Vittorio&btnG=Google+Search&meta= Ay! There's the villainy! I checked the second one down in the google list, marked: Fondazione Di Vittorio [Archive] - Fraudwatchers . It took me to this bulletin board on which people post the story variants that they have received. I don't have time to read it right now, but I will return to sometime in the future (after all, this post is half archival) ((I was worried Xanga might report me for dead, and that I would then no longer be eligible for summer employment!)) (((whispered))) ((((knowingly)))). So, I am afraid, former new best friend, and never really real best friend, sort of like a trial best friend, I will not being sending you my full name, or my occupation, or my private phone line (that was creepily forward, by the way), or my current residential address. And by the way, Zhu Yuning, when looking at other variants on the list, I realize that you didn’t even try! So I’m doubly insulted - … - Actually, I'm in colonial America, wishing I could be watching Paul Giamatti play John Adams in colonial America, but not daring to risk my thesis on HBO-delivered influences, and happy that I took the break. ~ Luke ~ I actually looked up the eitquette rules to determine which hand was the correct hand to use under the strictest guidelines, and the first google result was http://weblog.delacour.net/archives/000710.html. Worth reading for the sixth paragraph alone! The present author notes that once the search for the correct hand reached this point (it’s first), the author promptly abandoned the search. He choose to claim the “right hand” as the correct hand, merely because it was the opposite of his writing hand, and when he made the gesture in practice while writing the sentence, it was the most readily available. | | |
| Maya * Aztec Astrology Report(FREE Sample Version) (Copyright © One Reed Publications, 2006) www.onereed.com Prepared for Luke born November 3, 1978 DAY-SIGN: 4-Reed (Maya: 4-Ben) YEAR: West -6 (Tikal System) 13-DAY PERIOD: 1-Dog (Maya: 1-Oc) NIGHT LORD: 7 VENUS PHASE: Evening Star
Introduction - The Astrology of TimeThe ancient Maya and Aztec astrologers studied the mysterious influence of the rhythms of the sky on earthly life. Everyone knows the Sun rises and sets every day -- this is the basic rhythm of life around which we set our clocks and calendars. What the ancient astrologers discovered was that other time cycles existed that were multiples of this basic day cycle. This fact was discovered about 100 years ago in Europe and these cycles (there are many of them) are now called biorhythms. The most important time cycles in ancient Mayan and Aztec astrology are those of the day, 9-days, 13-days, and 20-days. Additionally, years are counted also, in groups of 4 and 13. Each day is then part of several other cycles, so no two days are exactly the same. Your Maya/Aztec horoscope below shows exactly where in each of the cycles you were born. Each category below examines a specific cycle and a specific aspect of your personality. Keep in mind that our personalities are complex and contain many contradictions. All of us present a different "face" depending on who we meet. The delineations below will reflect this, but they will also give you a clear picture of who you really are. The true value of astrology lies in self-knowledge, the first step to wisdom. Your Most Personal Traits -- The Day-Sign of Your BirthHere are your strongest and most obvious personality traits. The delineation below describes who you are and how you appear to others, at least on the surface. In Aztec astrology this part of is your horoscope is your Tonalli, or Day-Sign, the form bestowed upon you by the Sun. Reed: You are probably highly regarded by others for one accomplishment or another. You may be way ahead of your competitors, or you have made your mark in the field you work in. You are probably also popular with others and you have earned a well-deserved fame and recognition from your peers. Even your enemies respect your successful ways.
Behind the all-around competency described above is your integrity and personal confidence. You will "stick to your guns" when under fire, keep a "stiff upper lip" when in trouble and, like the reed, remain firm when pressed. There is a militant side to you, and although you don't deliberately seek conflict, you seem to thrive in it. You can be politely aggressive, or a crusader for a cause -- but to you life is something to be won through strength and conviction. You are quite ambitious -- but usually also very clear about your goals and intentions. You have principles that govern your behavior, and these are often of a moral or ethical nature. You may be attracted to religious or philosophical studies, or possibly concerned with justice. If you did not receive a good education, then you may have some problems in being opinionated and judgmental. You work very hard, and you are far-sighted. You know the value of consistency and are capable of disciplining yourself to accomplish a task, even though it may take some time. Your inner confidence lets you do things that others would shy away from and your openness to new ideas keeps you in the forefront of your field. Your most important attribute is that you want to learn. Teaching, politics, and the social sciences seem to appeal to you. These subjects aid you in communicating and understanding others. Closely related to your love of knowledge is your love of open spaces and travel. You can't stand restraint -- you must be free to do as you choose. One of your worst problems is that you tend to go to extremes. This may be compensated by your accomplishments in the world, but may also be a real problem. You are not a moderate person. You are a high-powered achiever who can burn yourself and your friends out if you let things get too carried away. Your Deeper Self -- The 13-Day Week of Your BirthEach of us reacts to the world around us in different ways. Our reactions are mostly unconscious; they represent what our deeper self needs. Our reactions both attract and repel us from things, people, and situations. What we like, what we like to do, and who we really are is shown by the 13-day week called the Trecena that we were born under. Each of these periods begins with the number 1 and the name of the day-sign that starts it. A number is attached to your position within the 13-day period that may be an important number for you. This is the fourth day of the 13-day period beginning with 1-Dog. Beneath your surface personality you are a person who is consistent in belief and very loyal. You will continue with a program or activity for years and can be an inspiration to others -- but you can also be extremely stubborn. No matter how unconventional your lifestyle, once committed to it, you are there for life. In general you are a very dependable and constant person who is a deep thinker with a good sense of morals and ethics.
